Useful for: Improving the participant’s ability to focus at all levels on continuous improvement within their organisation.

Root Cause Analysis is a useful process to be aware of in all situations and can be adapted to suit many business requirements.

What it covers: Root Cause Analysis is not a single entity but a series of tools and measurements taken. Through these the user is able to identify the significant basis of an issue and ensure that the situation does not happen again. If does not focus on a symptom but on the ‘root cause’ that created the symptom.

It is almost certain that complete prevention of recurrence by a single intervention is not possible and that a process of continuous improvement should be the result of the Root Cause Analysis completed..
