Many coaches, managers, team leaders, therapists and counsellors often wish they had relaxation and ‘rapid change’ skills to use on themselves and on others. These skills are not taught during their courses or even as separate stand alone ones.
So Cressingham Training has developed this course due to demand – it is you our clients that have asked for this training. We listened and have devised a comprehensive but very intensive three days. You will still need to practice after the course to master all the skills completely – but that is normal for all training.
It is based on Foundation Skills from NLP, hypnosis and other relaxation systems. Full hypnosis is not directly taught – these are simple but highly effective deep relaxation, light trance and guided imagery techniques for rapid change.
Course Content
Understand what relaxation is – both mental and physical. Many people confuse relaxation and recreation.
Develop methods of light trance induction including: progressive relaxation and confusion techniques, eye fixation, hypnotherapeutic metaphor delivery and other guided imagery techniques.
Learn trance deepening techniques.
Basic NLP skills: anchors – collapsing and creating, swish, mapping across, circle of excellence and others. How to use: future pacing and embedded commands during conversation and guide imagery. (It is assumed that you will already have basic rapport skills).
Discover how to use these techniques to assist your client in changing their perception of the presenting problem allowing them to access new empowering resources in trance.
Learn how to use the techniques of symptom transformation, symptom transference, symptom utilisation and symptom anchoring to effect change.
Discover: guided imagery trance phenomena and their benefits; how to utilise them for therapeutic gain, time distortion; amnesia; catalepsy; post-trance suggestions; analgesia; dissociation and desensitisation techniques and hallucinations of future changes.
Understand the ‘magic’ of metaphors and story telling, including multiple embedded metaphors.
